Hello family and friends. Here’s a quick update on my life. I drove across country to Gainesville Georgia. I’ve been here about 2 weeks. The staff here at Adventures in Missions has been amazing. They make me feel like I’ve been part of the team for a while now. I have just found out what squads I’ll be a part of and what countries I’ll be visiting. I’m currently training the next group of leaders who will be leaving on the 9th of Sept.

I’ll be traveling to The Republic of Eswatini on September 16th. I’m super excited! I’ve never been to the southern part of Africa, but I have loved every part of Africa I’ve been too so far. After spending around 10 days with the squad in The Republic of Eswatini, I’ll go to another squad in South Africa. After spending one month with that squad I’ll head over to Malaysia. Lord willing I’ll be back to the states in December.

Something God has asked me to give up is speeding. I love cars. I wanted to be a racecar driver before coming to know Christ. Going fast has always been a part of my life. Most of the time when I drive I like to drive around 5-10 mph over the speed limit. Every now and then I’ll boost way over the limit into the triple digits. When I came to Gainesville I sat with the Lord, and during our time together I decided to stop breaking the law. Speeding is breaking the law. Even one mile per hour over is breaking the law. I’m not sure how it is where you live. Everywhere I’ve been people are speeding. I seriously believe 99.9% of people speed. Some might only go 1 to 4 miles per hour over. While others go 10 to 30 over. Either way you speeding. When God asked me to stop breaking the law and obey what has been set before me, I said… ok. He has taught me so much during this time. When I’m driving and I have a line of cars behind me. They all drive 20 miles per hour over the limit. So there is a part of me that’s screaming SPEED UP!! But the Lord reminds me, “who are you gonna please Me or them?” And little by little I think less about pleasing all the people behind me. Instead I remember that I’m not here to please people. That even though everyone else says I’m wrong, that I need to be going with the flow of traffic. No, God says to obey the laws set above you. The speed limit is the limit. He has taught me that it’s better to be wrong in the eyes of people than to be wrong in the eyes of the Lord. So I enjoy my driving time, even though I have a rocket for a car and a line of cars behind me. I drive under the limit and know that I’m pleasing the One who loves me.

Who are you pleasing?…
