Hello!

Life has been busy, busy, busy, but God is always good and I get to share what He is doing. As I shared in my last update, I am mentoring a squad right now. The title mentor basically means I am like the Pastor of a small church. This small church has a total of 26 people, most of which are 18yrs old. They are from all over the country and Canada, most of them are right out of high school. We have all been in Gainesville, GA. We have had missions training for the last 6 weeks. I have had the opportunity to teach the squad on what it means to live a life on mission, who the Holy Spirit is and what life looks like as a believer. During all of these teachings, I have had to rely on the Holy Spirit. I’ve spent so much time on my knees and it has been a blessing!

During the squads training, I decided to camp with them. For the last 4 weeks, I’ve been living with “L’’ squad at our campsite. I get to live in my tent, take bucket showers and just be close to them. After 4 weeks of training we all got to go serve in Kentucky. In 2020 there was flooding in Jackson, Kentucky. Waters rose from the river into nearby homes and buildings. Most people who lived near the river had almost two feet of water inside their homes. After that flood, most homeowners filed insurance claims and spent savings repairing the damage. Well, fast forward to August 2022, another flood hits Jackson. But this time it wasn’t just two feet, it was twenty! Most homes along the river were completely under water. All the hard work people put into their homes after the first flood was taken from them. All the hope in, “we can rebuild this” was gone. All that was left was a muddy house with everything inside destroyed.

Well then God brings L squad to the mix! We got to serve the people of Jackson, filling their homes with joy and peace. Reminding them about the good news of Jesus Christ. One home owner had us clearing out his home and his son lived next door. His son who we will call “Andrew” was not happy about us being there or anything at all really. After a couple of conversions with our team Andrew started to change. He wasn’t so downcast anymore and he wanted to know more about us and Jesus. The next day Andrew decided to accept Jesus as Lord and savior. We took Andrew down to that same river that took everything from him to be baptized! It was a beautiful day of restoration and freedom. The next day Andrew said he would love to renew his wedding vows, since he was now a new man. The team leader from Samaratins Purse and I were both ordained and were happy to help with the ceremony. We held a wonderful ceremony and they renewed their vows in the backyard. We sang worship songs and gave a message about true love, they shared new vows as believers and we praised God!

While we were in Jackson, the Lord added to His family daily. I believe when we first showed up there had been 38 salvations. By the time we left, there were 64! We were only there for two weeks. I love how God uses anything and everything, amidst the brokenness and hopelessness, God filled the void. Honestly, He is the only one who can. I hope you can be encouraged by what God is doing, He is THE BEST! I love that I get to see so much of His Kingdom come!

Thank you for your support and love. I know God has more in store for all those that call Jesus King. May you have a blessed week. May you remember where your hope comes from. Love you, goodbye!

  3. So good brother,
Samaritans rocks the simple gospel and stays unswervingly focused.

“proclaim the Word of God and stand upon it no matter what! Rise to the occasion and preach when it is convenient and when it is not. Preach in the full expression of the Holy Spirit—with wisdom and patience as you instruct and teach the people. So be alert to all these things and overcome every form of evil. Carry in your heart the passion of your calling as a church planter and evangelist, and fulfill your ministry calling.”
