I have a great story for you guys today. As most of you know I’m moving to Gainesville Georgia. If this is news to you check out my last blog. I plan on driving to Gainesville and making some stops along the way. I flew back to California and I’ve been working on my car ever since. Its gonna be a long trip and I want to make sure everything is working just right. Yesterday I was adjusting my suspension and I had my backpack on the passenger seat. This is my backpack that I take all over the world. I’m so used to keeping my passport on me that I never take it out. So I’m doing all this work at my Dads shop in Yucaipa. I was under my car for a few hours getting everything squared away. Then this homeless women named Heather came by the dumpster I was working next to. She was upset because someone had thrown her clothes in the trash. I did my best to sympathize with her. She was very upset, she was going on and on at how it’s not ok to throw her clothes in the trash. She was going to get back at whoever did this. I just kept working and tried to stay out of her way. But then I noticed that her foot was swollen. I talked to her a little about her life then I asked if I could pray for her. I prayed for her and talked to her about how loved she is by Jesus. She was filled with joy and was very happy I was willing to talk with her. She went on her way and I went back to work.

At the end of the day I was locking up the shop and I noticed my back wasn’t in my car. I thought that’s weird I’m pretty sure i left it on my seat. I figured i must have left it inside the shop. Well the shop was already locked up so I would just have to wait until tomorrow to get my backpack. On my way home I kept thinking about how and when I took my backpack out of my car and into the shop. I just couldn’t remember doing that. The next morning I searched the shop looking for my backpack and I just could not find it. I searched my car again and there was no bag in sight. At some point during the day while I was working on my car someone came and stole my bag. I didn’t care so much about the bag as I did for my passport that was in the bag. My church was doing a mission trip to Mexico that weekend so I knew without my passport I wasn’t going to go. I prayed to Lord and simply said “Your will be done not mine.” If He doesn’t want me to go on the mission trip to Mexico than I won’t go. That day I had lots of things to do. I went and got an interlock device installed on my car. Then I went to the DMV (department of motor vehicles) to get my registration up to date and finally get my drivers license back.  After a long day of waiting in lines I was given my drivers license. I was so happy that I was jumping for joy. The people around me thought I was weird, but I didn’t care. On my way home I decided to see if my Dad was still at his shop. It was around 6:30 so it was a little late, but sometimes he works late. As I was pulling into the shop I noticed it was closed and my Dad had gone home. But guess who was there???

Heather was sitting in her wheelchair holding my backpack in her lap and my passport over her head! I got out of my car and ran over to her. I told her how she was an answer to prayer. She told me that as she was roaming the streets she noticed a cool backpack. She went to pick it up and right next to it was a passport. She looked inside and said to herself “hey I know this guy.” So she grabbed and headed to my Dad’s shop. O was so blessed by God through Heather. She asked me what else was in the back because she might be able to get it back for me. I told besides my passport the only other valued item was my harmonica. She said “oh I know who has that, I’ll try and get it back for you.” I told her thank you so much and she went on her way. A few days later I walked into the shop office and there was my harmonica! I thanked the Lord for His goodness. He reminded me that love covers a multitude of sins.

I didn’t pray for Heather thinking it would help me out in the future. I simply love her so I want her to be healed. I love how the Lord allows us to be blessed in so many different ways. So whatever your doing today or tomorrow remember you are blessed and can bless others. Love you guys, thank you for your support.
