Hello friends and family! It has been a while, internet is difficult here in Ethiopia. But my time here has been amazing. The Lord has blessed me so much. I got to bring in the new year and had a beautiful Christmas. You all have been such a huge part in loving the nations and making disciples. Thank you, I’m currently $3,000 away from being fully funded for this trip. I’m so close and it’s all thanks to God and those who have partnered with me. I’m truly grateful for each one of you.

In this blog I want to share a regular day walking to the kindergarten school.
I had the opportunity to walk with a few of the children that are under the care of HopEthiopia. They are so smart and super cute. They all know some English and are just full of joy and laughter. When I got to the school I had the privilege to teach the students how to spell certain animals. I was with three of my squad mates. One of us would spell the word on the chalk board, another would spell it out and I would draw it. I’m very new to drawing so my drawings were pretty funny looking. I have learned that God is a beautiful creator and He lives in me so I can also create beautiful things. Its definitely a work in progress though. So after drawing lions, tigers, sheep, cows, goats, and rats we headed back to our home.
I’m currently living on a very beautiful compound. This place houses 28 orphans, 6 house mothers (they take care of the children) and a few security guards. The compound has 10 houses and a training center plus a guest house building. It’s amazing, every day I’m surrounded by Gods great creation.

As we were walking back home a man approached me and asked if I knew medicine. Well I don’t really know medicine but I do know a healer (Jesus Christ.) So I told him “I know a healer.” He was very excited to meet this healer and get some help with the tooth pain he had. I then told him about Jesus and that He was the ultimate healer and that whatever pain he has Jesus can heal it. He simply looked at me and said “ok.” I told him we can pray right now, right here on the road. I put my hands on his jaw and prayed a very simple prayer “In Jesus name I command the pain to be gone.” That was it, no long drawn out speech, nothing crazy, I just told the pain to leave in Jesus name and it left. He told me the pain was gone! He asked if the pain came back could he pull out his tooth? I reminded him that Jesus is a Lord of fullness and the pain would not return. He said “ok thank you” and he went on his way.
We kept walking then another man yelled out to me “hey give me some water!” I said “ok!” I walked over to him and gave him a drink from my water bottle. He told me that he was one of the first people to work with Hope Ethiopia (our ministry host.) We talked about the love of Jesus and he told me he loved me and I told him that I loved him too. It was such a beautiful moment with two complete strangers yet at the same time brothers in Christ Jesus.
The Lord has been reminding me of His commandments. #1 Love God #2 Love others. Jesus told the disciples, love others the way I have loved you. And by this they will know you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. So I’ve been learning to walk out a life that see’s everyone around me as a brother or sister. Because if my brothers or sister (Chris, Nick, or Frances) asked me for anything I would do it without hesitation. So why not do it for my brothers and sisters all over the world? That’s where I’m at right now and I hope to continue to grow in love for God and others (in that order)
Thank you for giving your time and love to the Lord and where He has me now. Love you guys. Lord willing I can share a video of my time here so far. God bless you all. “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” John 8:36
