End of Kingdom Interruption

Hello friends!

I hope you are all blessed and loving the day the Lord has made. I have an incredible update for you, Kingdom Interruption came to end 🙁 We got to see hundreds of alumni and fellow believers. We traveled to 47 of the 50 states. I got to personally see God changing our nation. In total we traveled over 65,000 miles! We went through 3 vans, hundreds of gallons of gas, gallons of oil and lots of tires. I got to see so much of our beautiful country and got to love and encourage hundreds of people. I am blessed and feel so loved by all of you for supporting me all these years. I’m not sure if I’ll ever get the chance to be part of Kingdom Interruption again, but it has been an honor to work alongside Matt Blair and get to see the vision God has given him bear fruit. If you are reading this and you hosted us along our travels these last 3 years, thank you! I have never seen so much hospitality and care for a couple of guys living out of a van. I will miss life on the road and the close community I got to live in. Praise God for Kingdom Interruption! I hope one day I’ll get to see all the people I met on the road again.

One of the many testimonies from the trip was a friend named Joshua. I met him at the George Floyd memorial site in Minneapolis back in 2020. He was sitting on the ground and it looked like he was praying. After talking with him for a few minutes, I could tell this young man (18) wanted more of God. We invited him to the home we were staying at. This was the home of the Petersen’s, they were my squad coaches in 2018, 2019, and 2021. I have spent lots of time with them and I know they invite anyone who is hungry for more of God to there home. Joshua stayed with us a about 1 week. We went back to the memorial site to evangelize and hosted some worship nights. Then we had to hit the road and go our separate ways. I wasn’t planning on seeing Joshua again, but the Lord had other plans. Fast forward to July 2022, I got a text from Joshua. He said “Hello Luis, where in the world are you?” This is a pretty accurate question for me. I told him I was just leaving Georgia and was heading to Cincinnati Ohio. He told me he wanted to be baptized, and that he would drive wherever I was in order to be baptized by me. This sounded wild to me, but at the same time what an honor to bring someone closer to God. This young man did not care what it took or how far he had to drive to get it. I told him to meet me in Cincinnati and I would be overjoyed to baptize him. He drove 7 hrs to get to me. We talked about his heart and the why behind getting baptized. Then he blessed me with a new bible. He had remembered that I had given away almost every bible I had. He told me I could only give away this bible to another Luis Lam, since he lasered my name on it. I was so taken back by the pursuit of righteousness and more of God’s Holy Spirit by this young man. Joshua has challenged me in thinking “how far will I go for more of Him?”

I don’t think I have the ability to share every testimony that I witnessed during Kingdom Interruption. If I wrote them all, I imagine it would fill many books. Even though I won’t even remember all the things God did over the last 3 years, I know He continues to move and work. He moves in all those homes that I won’t visit again, all the gas station attendants and transit people along the way. God stays back, He always stays back, and who better than God!?

I got to live alongside and learn from my brother Matt Blair. I have never had such a deep relationship with someone outside of my family. Our road together has come to an end, he is headed to Texas and I’m staying in Georgia for a little bit. I thank God for Matt and all the things he taught me. I thank God for the brother that he is and the blessing it was to journey across our country together. I’ll miss the daily prayers, all the laughs and sing alongs, and just doing life with him. I hope and pray the best for him as he ventures into new territory, knowing that God almighty is with him. Love you Matt! Thank you for everything brother!

Thank you for reading this to the end, I know it is a bit long. I’ll post another next week to catch everyone up to what’s currently going on.

Please pray for my new squad, L Squad. We are leaving to Kentucky this Sat. There has been some major flooding there and we are going to help with Samaratin’s Purse.

Bless you all! I love you and miss you!
